Magnesium in the presence of barium chlorate is a very sensitive combination and extreme caution must be used to avoid friction of any kind. Due to reactivity with water, this formula must be prevented from ever coming into contact with water.
This formula is designed specifically for use in box stars (also called pill box). The PVC was specified as Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC). Dampen with alcohol (100%, no water).
