Summary
Use adequate ventilation.
Use any common available yellow smoke dye for this comp. Mix fuel/oxidizer/soda seperate from dye. Use a screw top container with 5-10 nickles inside to “mill” the composition. Shake for 5 minutes or so. Ram comp into tube of choice- choke tube to 1/3 ID. Does not need priming.
- Preparation: Pass each dry ingredient separately through a fine sieve to remove lumps. Never grind them together.
- Mixing: Gently combine the sifted ingredients using the “diaper method” (rolling the powders together on a large sheet of paper) to prevent friction.
- Containment: Pack the loose powder tightly into a heavy cardboard tube with a single, small exhaust hole.
