Terephthalic Acid (TPA)

Terephthalic Acid or TPA is used as a fuel in some smoke compositions and some flash powder formulas.  It is a benzene derivative, a precursor for PET plastics and polycarbonate plastic bottles. It’s a white powder, non-toxic and not particularly flammable, though it burns well at high temperature.
