Xylitol is harmless for humans but dangerous for dogs. Because it is sweet, they will eat any residue left around. Be sure to clean up thoroughly if you have pets.
XYLITOL should be subsituted for Sucrose in the formula VITAMIN C POWDER should be substituted for Boric Acid Neither were available in the database choices. Both can be found at health food stores or online. All ingredients should be milled together until fine and then melted and cast. The Xylitol melts at a low temperature; a cheap crock pot set on High is ideal. Mixture is somewhat hygroscopic and should be allowed to cool overnight to harden. Keep in a sealed plastic bag until used.
