Copper Benzoate Blue

Summary

Testing this, a comet wedged too tightly in a star gun exploded violently, destroying the gun. There is a mention in Best of AFN about Cu sensitized AP comps having the potential to detonate, and in this two component comp, the copper colorant is also the fuel. I have had no problems at all in actual use in shells. Just something to keep in mind.

This is a small modification of David Bleser”s “A New Blue” with dextrin binder. Clean, pure and very beautiful blue, the best I have seen.
