Summary

Somewhat easy to ignite, for the original formula DO NOT substitute with potassium chlorate! Also I was told that perchlorate and sulfur is no less sensitive to impact than chlorate and sulfur so still be careful. The elimination of perchlorate should improve safety slightly.

Same as Kyle””””s Emerald Green but without perchlorates. The greens aren””””t diminished because of this, the only difference is the barium nitrate is increased as well as the magnalium. Shellac and Chlorowax is used because that””””s what””””s available here but it doesn””””t affect anything if you Parlon or PVC/Saran. Will try this with German Dark Al because they””””re cheaper than Magnaium. Substitute Barium Nitrate with Strontium Nitrate and get an equally good red. This formula doesn”t appear to work when the magnalium is replaced with German dark. For a formula that works with German dark try Electric Green Al.
